As for the KS parabolics your best bet is to just keep checkin Ebay as they regularly go on there for $199+ph, otherwise try local wreckers. And the verada tail lights just try wreckers also, I have an add for one in the for sale section but it seems no one has any spare.
scrappies it is, thanks!!

KS/KR Verada/Sigma tail lights can be collected from a scrap yard! Easyyyy.
I love the KS/KR verada/sigma taillights. They look way better than the normal magna ones imho. Resembles the HH galant VR4 taillights

The "SIgma" did a totally different back end and the rear garnish will not fit the aussie boot lid.
Also, if getting hte KR XI. Elite or KS verada back end, also need to get the boot if you are using the garnish as there are holes in the bootlid that the others do not have to facilitate the fitting of the lights in the garnsih.

Hey mal, i've got this wrecked sigma in the UK (second picture) that i've picked some parts off. Are you sure it won't fit our bootlids? Cos i've got this on the way right now.
Looks pretty similar to ours?
Pretty sure it would fit?

Man I think you are thinking of the Diamante, which has a longer boot and therefor a different rear setup. The sigma and magna/verada bodies are almost identicle.

Yes, the Sisgma was the same, I must have been thinking Diamante. Some Sigmas did also have the saloon layout as well.
EIther way, Dimi you will ahve the correct garnish unless yours has been changed at some time.

No difference cept the Sigma lettering and the reverse lights are orange tinted instead of plain white.
Guess i'll need to find a set of Sigma Rear Tail lights as well so they match
Anyone know a way I can get the sigma garnish to match the standard clear tint?

The pic in the middle .. are all verada's suppose to have the inner brake lights working on the boot or is that a mod? I have holes for globes but no wiring or anything ..

The sigma's had them as standard. But for us in Oz, It's a mod.
I linked some globes up to the wire from the number plate night light and mounted them in there.
Vlad has a guide on the garnish lights and how to do it. Really easy and nicest look at night.
Great mod, makes the car look a lot better at night and not just your average magna lights. Gives that *import* look to it.

The troubling thing with doing the inner brake mod is that you have to get some bulb harnesses from a wreckers, thats the only reason I havent done it.

Yeah the inner brake mod i left out so i've got tail lights that are fully visible at night. Would like the brake mod done but haven't gotten around to doing that. Looks a bit tricky.

I originally did this back in about 1995 or so on my first Verada.
The parking lights I only had set up in the outer lights, so four globes all up, the brakes were all 6.
The inner globes, you get the indicator globe holder from the TM-P sedan, you have to slightly bend the screw lugs and they go straight in.
For the parkers in the inner position of the outer light assy, I simply used mazda 626 holders in there.
No drama at all to do them
With the garnish, if someone has an SE or Exec they will not have the required holes in the bootlid for the globe access section to pass through.

Looking very nice. But now you need the garnish! It looks odd with the standard garnish.
For the chrome indicator bulbs, go to autobarn I got mine from there. $19.95.
Be sure to take the orange plastic part out of the indicator as well.
I wrote a guide on how to do this a while back. Here is the link! (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36825&highlight=clear+indicators)
Dimi, i have removed the orange plastic from inside :) and what do you mean by boot garnish??

Like, the Verada/Sigma rear boot garnish. It will match your lights!
Most definitely gotta grab one of those!
Hey mal, will this fit on the standard TS boot?

17-03-2007, 04:58 PM
Haha you want pics of diamante bars? That's my specialty lol
Here we go!
Series I - 1991 - 1993 Diamante
Series II - 1994 - 1995 Diamante/Diamante Espada
sweet. how do i go about sourcing one?
dimi108
17-03-2007, 05:12 PM
Ok! Now all you have to do is chose if you want either series I or series II.
Call jap wreckers/spares in your local area.
For series I you need to ask for 1991-1993 Mitsubishi Diamante (or you can even ask for a 1991-1993 Mitsubishi Magna) front bar with square fog lights and extra lip on the bottom.
For series II, you'll need to ask for mitsubishi diamante (or you can even ask for a 1994-1995 Mitsubishi Magna) front bar with round foglights and the extra lip on the bottom. Make sure you get them with the extended lips as these look a lot better and gives the car a good import look.
So start calling on Monday and let us know what kind of prices you were quoted.
I went through all the trouble of calling and then having to source one from Okinawa then have it sent to Melbourne where it travelled by road to Chipping Norton in Sydney. I had Sumo Spares in Chipping Norton help me with this. It was quite expensive for me. But the trick with it is that most wreckers think that this is only a front bar for a Mitsubishi Magna, so they usually sell them for $200 max. Mine was $36 (because of the shipping and all the troubles). But well worth it as it pretty much transformed the car's appearance from a "oh that's a magna" to "what car is that" look.
So call around, and let us know how it goes and we'll let you know if it's a good price or not :)
yeah i love yours, it looks great. well its on my list of things to do. :D

What happened to it?? Looks nice man. Are they 15"s? Or 16"s?
Very nice styling.
they are 16's on 205/40R16 rubberbands. i sold it and made a little profit. It paid off some of my debts in the meantime as well
and it was bloody quick for what it was. 1.8 DOHC with 95kW and 180Nm. only weighed 1000kg

edit: DONT BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER
nothing at all. I would have loved to have fettled with the engine. the handling was sorted and the brakes were superb. Was thinking about wilder cams, flowed inlet, straight through exhaust, chipped, etc etc. would be an easy 120-130kW with that work. A guy in Australia has turbocharged his and its putting out 230kW at the wheels lol rumour has it, hes going for 300kW ATW

Man that sounds like so much fun to zip around in.
You miss the car?
Should've taken it to old pac and did spirited touge driving there. Lots of twisties. I reckon you would've smoked a lot of the DC2 and DC5 type R's there :D
i doubt it would be smoking DC2 or DC5's around a track, those things stick like **** to a blanket.
