High guys. I recenty bought some very sexy 19" rims. I dont know much tyres, but they say 245-35ZR19. I whacked them on my car, which has superlows, and had to take them off cos they were rubbing pretty bad. So, does anyone know if low springs will fit without rubbing, or will I have to put the factory ones back in?

cant you just get your guards rolled?

it helps if you get the correct wheel and offset for your car...
i have one of the lowest magnas in the rear around on 20's as well and i get no rubbing at all!!
full lock bumps driveways etc...
rolling your gaurds may help a bit depending on how bad it is, maybe even changing tyre size profile... get a pro to take a look at it

Bob Janes fit the wheels for me. When I ordered them, they knew it was for a magna.

I think the offset of your new rims might not be right. I'v got 18x8's with 235/40, I think if I went to 19's on 35 rubber I'd still have plenty of clearance with out rolling the gaurds.
P.S I likey very muchey the hotty avatar, I hope you took that pic

ok, what exactly is the offset? What do I have and what should I have? Fill me in on all this tyre info cos it looks like I have to go back to Bob Janes and tell em they've made a mistake.

Did they fit them when you had supa lows on car, did they know it was lowered. If they did supply and fit them, take them back, they should know better than to sell a rim n tyre package that fowels

When I ordered them, I didnt have Superlows on, but he didnt go out and look at the car, just asked what it was for. When they fitted them, yes the superlows were in. They were put in that day.

offset is positioning of the stud pattern ( the face that butts up to disc rotar) in relation to the rim width. I think magnas idealy should be 46 (my old factory mags are 46) my new 18's are 35 if I remember correctly

Have I given ya my offset? Im a total woman when it comes to tyres. If I need a new offset, I take it I need to get the rims replaced?
Ive just been told the flares might be rubbing, since my car is a VRX, so Im off to check that out.

Yup, i dremelled my flares just so slightly - worked like a charm.
You may also want to pull back the black shroud on the fronts, i used a cable tie :)

something to remember for next time: get your bigger rims and tyres first, then lower the car, gives you better idea of how low you can go without making adjustments to stop rubbing etc.

some wheels have can be machined on the mounting face to altet the offset to bring them further under the guards and its not that expensive

Yes actually that would be nice :bowrofl:
Actually, I think the back is still too low. The body is only a couple of mm above the flares, so its still going to hit. The front should be fine.

Can any place do this?
