Damn guys, just discovered that both my rear side window seals are leaking, driver side is the worst......anyone had experience in this area and have an idea of what costs will be incurred in having them fixed? - these MUST be fixed as it is where I have/will have amps installed......is this something a bodyworks would do or should i be taking it to some other place to be done???

Any suggestions or ideas would be great!!!

Start at Mitsu mate see what they think, failing that i would try a glass place (windscreen o brian etc) thats your best bet

A very comon problem with wagons.

Have had mine done many times. The first 3 times i had it done, they continued to leak after a while.

The thing i found they have to do which will fix the problem for good (well, has been a few years and still all good) is they have to take the windows out and completely remove all the old sealer from the body and the window.

Some people tend to just re seal over the old sealant which is still there and this is when i had continuing problems.

Yeah most if not all windscreen places should be able to do it. Not that dear for memory. Maybe something like $30 - 40 a window. Jus make sure they put a heap of sealer on.

If you do a search, this topic was bought up quite a while ago. I had accurate prices listed for memory back then.

The only seal the rear side glass has is a foam strip.. after time, the foam shrinks, hence the poor sealing and water entry.
Removing the glass is fairly easy, held on by about 5 or so 10mm nuts, inner plastic trim needs removing.
Once the glass is out, the old foam can be removed, and a thick bead of urethane used instead... once this is done, the glass will never let water in again!
To do both sides, you should get change from 100 dollars!
