*EDIT* ignore the poll, not buying the low springs after all, not this low anyway...

Okay, this is more of an EOI
However, I currently do not have the springs, so they are not for sale to be EOI.

I am looking at new springs and shocks, and wouldn't mind on a whim to get 50mm (2") low springs for the sedan.

However, I really don't want the car to change in the way it is to start bouncing and bopping around, let alone scraping and being more a nuscence than a cool look

So in line of thought I am going to buy the lows try them out, and then if i find the car is not as I want it, i will sell the springs.

So, mere eoi, vote if you think you would look to buy them after probably a mere 2 weeks of my use with them and to pay around 25$ less than what I did to buy them.

TY

there's your first problem. if u want the sedan lowered you'll need an adjustable panhard rod(sedan 3 link/ wagon 4 link). cos when the sedan gets lowered the factory non-adjustable panhard rod will shift over 5-10cms dependeing on the drop. so id get an adjustable one before worrying about buy the suspenion:D

i voted no cos of the panhard rod but if i had a wagon id want them for sure seeing as it's so easy to lower compared to the sedan.

i read about that rod, but next to not follow up was based around it, and plenty of sedans have been lowered, so thought it to not be a nessecity

seeing as i did my wagon and had no probs didnt think there'd be a diff, but hmm

may just lower the front and replace the rear with stock as im not spending money on this thing. mainly wanna get rid of the front 4x4 look

ive got new heavy duty kings in the back and it sits pretty good. the tyre just tuck under the rear gaurd. i'll take a picture tommorow if u want to see how my tp sits?

yeah that'd be good.

after was talking to a friend may be going for something totally different involving stock height springs, but i'll decide that when i get to it,

In regards to how high it will sit.

If you're talking about king springs, if you put lows in the front you wont get much of a drop from stock ones.

The rear of the wagon will drop a lot more than the front when you put king lows in, it looked FINE as untill it settled the next day and the rear was 1.5-2 inches lower than the front, it looked a bit odd.

So at the moment I have 'modified' king lows in the front, which dropped it over 2 inches, now the back needs lowering another 1, and it will be good again.

So are you using stock springs & shocks atm?

It's easy enough to just take them out and get them compressed if you need to lower it some more. I think you'll be happy with just lows tho, my front hardly touches anything... :P

Edit: I voted yes, you should buy them, 2 weeks... wouldn't be any wear from 2 weeks of use.

hey neo,

nah, these springs are for the sedan, my wagon is low and modded well.

the sedan is stock standard, and ofcourse now learnming bout sedans and efi, been a carb boy all my life.

Update, getting new wheels on saturday, and new shocks on tuesday, dependant on how the wheels go i may only get front low springs, and yeah they will only be king lows, coz i dont think ill be able to go 50mm low

kinda unfortunate, but oh well.

on hold for now guys.

mines been lowered with no issues, also we managed to drop bcx7s rear end a considerable amount (around 2.5" lower then stock :P) again with no issues of the rod, obviously there's gonna be more tension on it but ive had my lowered for 2 odd years all fine

as for the front drop my springs are 60mm lower then stock, no scraping issues but its bumpy as **** as expected, theres only 7-9mm between coils

hmm, i was going on what was told to me , haven't done it myself though. and i didn't look under his tp to check it so i guess that throws my reasoning out the window. might have to go a have a talk to a mate of mine who works at fulcrum to see if i can lower mine without too much drama. i never looked into it cos i previously thought it was gonna be really expensive. didn't know u guys had lowered sedans:redface: a fair few lowered 1st gens on here are wagons from what ive seen, well untill you enlightened me:)

Well, after my plans kinda changed, the low springs went out the window, if you wanna see why, check the post ure ride thread.

the front im still in question of, i may lower it, but atm the height its at i wont, new shocks on tuesday will dictate further as to whether i do or not drop.

but it wont be 50mm, dont think the car would do well that low with the mod i did.

well, here yo go.
