I plan to put these component speakers (http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_components.php?comp_id=65) in the doors and dash of my magna. On the dash there are two blank covers which i think tweeters could be located. I was told by a salesperson in JB that the verada has tweeters where these blank covers are. Does anyone know or have an idea where i might be able to get a set of tweeter covers?

? Tweeter covers?
If you want to mount them in there, (not always the best spot) then just cut /drill into the plastic cap.
The veradas have the midrange in here and the tweet is in the triangular delta piece near the mirror.
This part costs around $37 a pair from mitsu and is much neater.

I've got my tweeters on the dash where they would be in the 3rd gens. Sounds really good as it reflects off the glass. That was the spot for the tweeters in the 2nd gens so it would work both ways if you didnt want them on the pillar :)

Yes this reflection can actually cause comb filtering off glass... Causing high frequencies to sound very shrill. You can make it work sometimes but more often than not reflections off glass are a no no.
In addition you get massive seperation issues as the sound is coming from the base of your doors and the dash.
The better option imo is the delta covers, or mounting them in the kick panels for better path length and less seperation

Part number...
edit: --> apparently this might not be the part number :( *removed to avoid confusion*)
The part number is apparently: MR172209 and MR172210 (please confirm on order)
You may also want to duck down and see if the tweet fits, only smaller tweets will fit in there. Just ask to see a verada and you can take the cover off in a jiffy.

Those delta tweeter covers work really well, as long as your tweets fit. Much easier to route the speaker cable there rather than through the dash.

Well, im my verada, those tweeter pods on my doors are just sitting there empty :P Mainly cause i can't fit my tweets in them. I've got them sitting up on my dash now, as a note if you're doing this, you may need to make a little mdf baffle or somethign for them to get wedged in there. If you buy the actualy tweeter you can generall rip all that out and fit most branded tweets in there with little movement, however if you're just gonna take off the cap and put a speaker in there, you'll need to play around a bit more.

yeah sounds a bit too cheap so might be the stock covers... CRAP! First bit of bad advice I've given :(
Let us know how you go dude, sorry again. My bad. I'd given those part numbers out a few times as thats what Chadstone Mitsu told me. And other ppl had also ordered them with no probs so I assumed it was all good.
Dont reorder yet as they 'might' be correct
*Crawls back into hole*
So yeah let us know how it pans out.
Peace
