looks lile a impco system .. they are very simple and i would rate the best from what ive seen and repaired.

i find it strange if its lpg only why they need a airflow meter still.
if you ever have the ecu out grab the numbers off it i would be interested if its different.

I would of loved to get a monogas Magna when i bought mine but the resale is actually pretty good on them at auction, about 3k more at the time in fact....

Yes they are an impco system and they run very well..

I think they have 2 ecus?.....one for timing and trans duties and another to process the lambda for the LPG.

Best thing is that the trip functions work!!!

Here's mine, very crowded in there but i'm enjoying the economy. Currently getting around 14 lpg opposed to 10.4 petrol.

The factory systems are nice. :)

Joukowski thats a fairly common setup i have see so far the lack of room in the engine bay means they have to send the ( mixer thinggy ) way over the other side like that and not place it under the resanators on the intake side

Joukowski, how has your system been going?.....you said it did have bad starting problems on LPG when cold...

Mine has been perfect from day one in this regard.

The only thing that i have notced with mine is that a switch to fuel from LPG will have the car run a bit odd for a little while until the gas "clears"......it also needs a rev or two to get the petrol cleared as well.

Even after a couple of weeks with this older "converter" style system, i am very impressed.

Ave consumption on gas is just under 17l/100kms at the moment, thats with a full city cycle....

reecho, that's now all fixed - during start up petrol is also injected into the engine so it's starting as well as before. re: your car running odd, these units do lose calibratrion & lean out after commissioinig and requires an adjustment. i believe they settle down after around 1500km.

mine was continually getting adjusted every week then every 2 weeks due to leaning out. you can tell as it idles really rough & the led on the lpg cpu in the engine indicates lean. In agreement with the installer, we adjusted the system to rich for idling after the 4th visit and it ran very well. Now it's tuned down correctly and stable - all running well.

Cool any idea what brand of LPG ECU you have?

Cool any idea what brand of LPG ECU you have?

not sure, but from memory off another post i think we had the same gear.
here's how it looks like, haven't got a close up but it's that little black box fitted next to on the left of the converter with green & red wires connected. one of the LED indicating lean would stay on solid, if you've got a over lean misture.

I have a single ECU mounted next to the steering column which controls all functions...nothing under the bonnet....

Another thing i wondered on yours is that where have they tapped in your flash-lube bottle?

My mate (farck knows why) tapped it into the 3rd plenum runner so basically he was feeding 1 cylinder.........dork..

I have since tee'd it into the vac line going to the fuel pressure regulator...hopefully feeding all cyls now...

Not a lot of difference between factory fit for dual fuel and for LPG only - my duel fuel TL looks the same
To make it dual fuel again, the only engine bay mods are a few wires and tubes to connect to injectors.
