Dave, any chance of getting a pic of these FPR's? And do these automatically increase the fuel pressure or do you modify it manually? If you drove normally for a tank of fuel, would you notice much of a difference economy wise?

Fuel Pressure regulator.
Regulates the pressure of the fuel to keep it a constant. (or increases the pressure as needed)

Check out our page and then ask again if you have more questions.
Essentialy only necessary on the magna if you have lots of mods being throttle body, extractors, rampod and exhaust. Then it does help as it removes flat spots.
We have already had word from Malcolm that the new extractors are working too well at low rpms inducing a mild flat spot with other modifciations and hence, the FPR is needed to help rectify that problem.
Before anyone asks the flat spot is an indication that the system is pulling more air out of the car than the stock computer is capable of handling on acceleration as it is now occuring at a lower rpm than it is used to. This is a problem I am happy to say is occuring as it is a clear indication of how well it is working.

So does that mean to get the new extractors we are going to need aditional equipment to take away the flat spot?

the flat spot was only between about 1500 RPM and 2500 RPM - so yeah - depending on how much time you spend in that Rev range - the choice is yours - it really didn't worry me at all - and is still perfectly driveable - but yeah - i don't spend that much time under 2500 RPM so yeah - it didn't worry me

Yeah but from an Auto tranny point of view we got no choice but to start below that..

Remember this was also on a Manuel vehicle with a 70mm TB, cold air rampod and muffler so it has a few mods that others do not have yet.
With a stock throttle body or stock airbox only the chances of flat spotting are reduced by 50% simply by the fact that y ou will not give the engine as much airflow as what Manuel's car has at this time.

as what Manuel's car has at this time.
You trying to tell me I am about to give the engine more air - sorry i aint doing no forced iduction - or do you need a test car for a single turbo kit ;)

Didn't I tell you Malcolm - we did some additions to your car
No the point I was making was that Malcolms car has some fairly serious range of mods on it now so problems like flat spots become more evident because of this.
And yes the single turbo kit project is starting in around 4 weeks time and we will be looking for a test car but don't badger me about it yet. Too many things on the hop at this moment.
