i know these were offered in some of mitsu's 4WD models, but didn't know they were in the 380's (although they do have a sat-nav option)

i've been pretty safe with expensive eBay purchases so far, but i also know people that have been burned

Just a note, the ad says latest version of Whereis version 12 while the latest from Aug 06 is version 13.

Because the ALPINE IVA-D310E is in competition with the eclipse unit, not the IVA-W200E. There is no comparison between the eclipse and the unit you mention.

The D310E is a single din fold out with in-built player. The W200E is a double din, in-dash with in-built player.

Single din double din - they are both still dvd players.

And i think your forgetting that where ever there is a market, there is competition.

and neither of those alpine units comes with the navigation as standard... that in itself is worth an additional $500 (minimum cost for a nav unit)

im an eclipse owner myslef (cd5000) and very happy with it, and ill happily admit theyre just cd players built by an airconditioner company (fujitsu)....but ill be damned if alpine has anything that is substantially better.

alpine fanboys **** me to tears, and so do eclipse ones. they are both almost equal...with the only difference being the my local alpine dealer wouldnt budge on price, yet eclipse would. only reason i chose one over the other

i can vuoch for what ringa//art is saying - cause i have his old ralliart now - Eclipse unit and all!....all I can say is it is the best all in one system out on the market atm...and will be for quite some time - theis unit is flawless, and the features are endless!.....worth EVERY dollar i think! - not as good as Alpine some say? - well you's better get your head out of the sand - sure Alpine is high quality gear, cant argue with that, but it is most definately not always what its cracked up to be...

and if u buy any eclipse stereo, and get it fitted by an authorised installer, the warranty becomes 3 years :) bloody long warranty for an electrical product!
