My front bump stops are hitting, and i was just curious what can be done to stop it other than modifying them, for example if i replace the mitsu sports struts with KYB's will it go away or will i need a extremely hard strut to stop it, cuz atm i can make them hit buy rockin the car :(

get new springs/shocks (depending on whats worn,and making the bump stops touch) so they don't compress soooo much that the bump stops touch

its pretty solid, the front is on compressed superlows, but cuz of that the shockies dont have to travel far to hit them, and when theres a full car load they don't even hit becasue there already touching, i just don't know if i cut the bump stops in half if it will damage other components or not?

Well, i bought some second hand struts with cut standard springs on. My wheels on the front and back were sitting under the guards. The struts would go 'BANG' over every little bump. The Bump stops were shredded to bits.

I ended up buying aftermarket stops for the front stuts, the car went VERY bouncy, try taking off with a car that move 6 inches vertically when accellerating. lol now those struts were totally gone in it.

Do you know what the alternative to "bump" stop is? It is "bang" stop. That is the sound made when you have metal to metal interference from undersized bump stops. Bump stops provide the last controlled absorption of impact to prevent metal to metal contact of the suspension. Don't cut them down. Don't replace them with a harder material. It will lead to suspension damage.

i cut about an inch off my bump stops and i am still sitting on them with king super lows. but i still have about 2.5" of bump stops left. i am going to get a set of lows to replace the superlows (so if anybody has some to suit a TH that they don't want any more..... or want to buy some super lows.......)
