Sorry about the state the car is in, as im still working on it and its just gonna get dirty again if i clean it. but the marks near the lights and if you can see the mitsu badge is gone of the boot and marks around the key hole for the boot cos im ****wit tried to brake in to it.. court them on the act but they took off on a motor and didnt see the face

yes :( got defected when they were completly black thats why i have made hem with the circles for the lights

ahh ok....yea i tinted mine not as black as yours but they r darkish...

i think i might put another coat on tho...

Which is why is totally illegal in WA, regardless you got "Legal" tinted lights. Not that I am really bothered if someone wants to mod, and I know is cool, but the cops will still get you defected, regardless. Unless you get the cops to give you a OK stamp, then yeah. Otherwise I think is a complete waste of time and money.

i tinted mine about 2 coats, it is clearly darker than a normal light, but it doesnt look out of place, plus my car is white also and it going to tie in with my black and chrome theme....

i get what your saying though nexus....its one of those mods that we pay for yet it puts us at a high risk of being defected, therefore having to remove it, therefore losing money...

oh well some of us are a bit:nuts: sumtimes...

doesnt bother me. cos it was only like $20max to spary them and than if i get defected ill just get the cutting edge stuff out and take the tint off thats how i got the circles.. put the cutting cream on than get my dads buffer thingo and away we go.. one time my brother was driving it after i did the circles cos i cant drive atm and we got pulled over and he asked to see his licence blah blah and than he goes oh ur tail lights look cool ad my brother said thanks and we drove off lol

Well so long as you are prepared. I am not against this. In fact I wanted to do it as my car will look sick with tinted lights. Just that I have seen too many getting done for it. :doubt:

dats cool lad umm i got 2 1/2 from the cat back witch cost me $240 than i relised that it wsnt straight 2 1/2 from the headers so it cost other $40 for a 2 1/2 inch pipe from the headers to the cat so $280-$290
its pretty loud i have had a warning from a cop that others will get me for it but hvnt had trouble and i think its sports

that is awesome, i think i might try a staight pipe with no end muffler first...

if that is too loud or if i a get defected it hink i will get a lukey muffler put in with 2.5" system..

regardless of whether u get defected or not, they are illegal. if u were in an accident, and someone hits u from behind, they will use that to tell ur insurance company, and u will be at fault, that means u paying ur excess, even if it means u braked and they didnt brake in time and went up ur rear end, u will be counted at fault.

i'd do that if i ran up the end of someones car who had their lights tinted, or was missing some bulbs. quick photo, or call the cops and get them as a witness, and ur done for.

but if thats wat u want, good on ya...

I dont think the colour is rare, there has been another 2.4L magna of this colour who has joined the club. The colour sucks!!! lol Yes, UNLESS you really keep it clean and waxed like in the picture, it will look like dirt without proper cleaning. I prefer gloss black. This is gun metal grey. As far as I know, Dee has this colour in V6 and maybe just another handful in AMC.

The car I paid was $6500.00 two years ago which was an average price. Had some scratches when I gotten it and manage to cover them nicely with help from Touch Up Guys.

Like if you read the threads, you know that I love detailing my car with all types of brands of wax. Which is why my car always looks glossy, and with an indoor car port, is worth the waxing. As I hardly need to wash my car for months.

umm to many i think lol.. yeah dapto can be alright thats the 2nd time the 1st someone egged it in the front yard. but when they tried to brake in i had my brothers 15inch fusion power plant so they must have known it was in there...

did they see you at night time, because i have to say there if no difference in light qaulity when i drive at night, but they do look fair dark in the day...specially on a white car

as cool as people might think they look, tinted lights are dangerous as at night. given correct lighting, it is VERY difficult to see the lights, ive nearly rear ended some twat before because of it (and i am certainly not one to drive close to people).

if your trick with the circles works during the day then i 'd recommend it to anyone who wants to tint, because its just stupid without it.

I really like the idea of leaving the reverse light section untinted, just as a bit the off set the rest.

sorry to but in, you say tinted lights are illegal in WA, my Golf has factory tinted tail lights, and they are very dark. Do you think i would have issues with cops for them? Would i spend my whole time just explaning they are stock lights?
