Just ordered myself a set of rims and I'm looking at buying some lock nuts. Anyone know of a good brand/type to get?

Hey guys:
Just been through this to get some lock nuts to fit factory alloys. I boughtsome Tefba nuts. They were so badly made that the lock key tool would not engage over the nuts. Couldn't get Speedy nuts in anything other than a taper fitment (no good for my 3rd gen which features flat face and washer where nut meets wheel). Ended up with factory Mitsu ones. Beautifully made and only $18 the set

Just ask the place where you are getting your new rims from.
I have always had locking nuts and they have never been removed by anyone how shouldn't be removing my wheels! I remember once on my old commodore, it was left parked down a main street of a town and someone had tried to pince the rims. All of the wheel nuts were loose, but not my trusty locking nuts, they did their job.

at the end of the day, if the theif is smart and wants your rims they're gone... lock nuts are just a deterrent and only there to slow theifs down... you can buy a tool that makes removing lock nuts just as easy as normal nuts....

my point is there no need to spend big dollors on locking nuts.. whatever fits on will do as they're all removable with the right method and/or tools
