Hi guys,

looking at buying 7" Dvd monitor, with a separate dvd player (2 din setup) or one of those newer 7" dvd players that sit flush with the dash but also require 2-din setup, I have a TJ VR-X, can this setup work in the magna, can the console below the factory Cd player even be removed?

Any and all advice welcome,

PS: if you have one of these units or even an all-in-one single din setup and want to sell, or can install these kits, very interested!!!

have you considered the double din JVC units? inregrated 6.5" screen, awesome units, very good screens, can be had for under $1000 :)

pull out whats there, unscrew, screw in double din unit, solder the wires to ur vrx wires, put stereo back in place.

also see above the guide for removing the dash to get at it

no cutting/moulding required

I have one... I LOVE IT!

i 2nd the pioneer, i have a friend with one and its very nice. fits well in the car, and has a great menu system

i 3rd it... the only thing i dont like it it cant read mp3's off dvd's :( but having an assotrment of cd's mp3 and dvd discs at your fingertips is great, the 6 dvd stacker inbuilt is a great idea, and you can get them for 1700 now, i paid 2 with 5 year replacment warranty..

great sound great pic and heaps of in and outputs on the unit, can have your ipod hooked up as well as reverse camera and ps2 at the same time also it has a/v outs to run extra screens...

and the avg vdp-1 looks the goods too, i want one! :badgrin:

you know you can now get it for $1300 omfg bargain!!

I paid 1050 from a guy who never installed it. He paid more. Still got a years warranty though.

i 4th, or 5th or what ever the hell were up yo now with the 6850, awesome unit, absolutly love it, can be had for a tad under 1300 now days so shop around and get yourself a bargain

well a year ago the 6850 ws 2299 and now they around 1300, so its bound to come down in price as time goes on.
the hand held GPS's were a 1000 not too long ago as well.

Clarion has a full interface so when u put it on ipod the ipod comes up on the screen, its a full touch screen so what you would normally do to the ipod isnow all done on the screen. plays videos and the photos too..:)

im in the middle of examz atm so i havent had time to install it.. its going in next tuesday so ill let u know... from inspecting it visaually it looks smick....
