Evening dudes:
Anybody got any ideas on how to fix this. Wing has about 1.5mm play in it at the rear of the supports. At the front of the left and rear supports there is a screw holding the wing through the boot lid. And just a single screw in the centre of the middle support. Doesn't matter how tight you do these up, the rear of the supports still move. The rearmost fittings on the outside supports are a plastic speed nut thingy which I gather screws over a molded-in screw thread in the support. I can't tighten the speed nuts or loosen them so I can take the whole wing off and try refitting it. I have checked 2 other TF Sports and found one was identical in looseness to mine while the other was rock solid (the bastard).

H-E-L-P!!

Remove the wing and put a washer/rubber grommet between the bootlid and the wing.

I think it's an undocumented feature of the TF's. Mine did this also
The cause of it I think is flex in the boot lid...

Thanks guys. Thought about using a spacer grommet or some such, but then you end up with an ugly gap between wing supports and boot. And I did check to see if it was bootlid flex and it aint - it is definitely those rear spped nut thingies nut gripping down close enough to the underside of the bootlid.

Any more idea anyone??

no nails? nah seriously u'll always have a little play in a spoiler on a TF unfortunatly its just the way the bootlid was shaped.

Fixed it :bowrofl:

Pulled the wing off (not easy) and replaced the plastic clips that the rears of the outer supports snap into. Also got a new kit for insulating the wing suports from the boot. Didn't use a TF kit - think what I ended up with was a TH or J. Anyway I had to cut the new insulators to size to fit. And - unlike the original TF ones - they are self adhesive on both sides. Result? Rock solid mounted rear wing. Reeeesult!
