How bout a decent pic aswell so I can see what it looks like, the pic in the thread a while back was useless.

Price for the 380 shifter? (if you can remember)

I'm hopefully getting a new digi camera next week sometime, so will take a better photo.
This is the best i can do for the time being:

Price was $40 for the shifter.

anyone know it you can put it on a normal auto (so non-tipp)?

Also wouldn't it be as easy as unscrewing on the old one and putting on the new?

Hahaha i wish mate :).
There's a few things you need to do, hard to explain without actually having you here and me taking it apart to show you.
Basically:
The stock gearstick works like this, you have your shaft, inside this shaft is a plastic tube that moves down a switch at the bottom of the shaft to allow the shaft to move from p to r and then from r to n (depending on how far you push down on your button).
The 380 "trigger" doesn't push down far enough to allow the 3rd gen plastic tube to go down fully (meaning it wont be able to move between p-r,r-n.
The 380 shifter switch (the thing that connects to the plastic tube, on the other end of the triggeR) isn't strong enough to push down on the 3rd gen plastic tube.
To fix these you need to install a much stiffer spring into the trigger (to allow more movement of the switch) and to also strengthen the part that connects to the tube.

It's not an easy thing to do, but done right will work. I broke my plastic tube (snapped in half) when i was playing around with ideas, so when i get my new shaft (should be coming very soon) i'll be able to play with it more and possibly even make up 380-3rd gen adapters if there's enough interest and I can get it to work without a hitch.
