Hi Guys,

I am about to purchase a Th 3.5 auto exec wagon with 210,000 for 4,500 grand
Ive read and heard that the 3.5 ltr engine is good for high klm

But does the auto hold up with high klm.
And what other problems occour with a high klm TH-TJ magna.

Cheers
Mark.

I own a 3.5ltr TH, bought it in 99 (July).... I have 172000 on mine have not missed a beat what so ever (touch wood), to be honest I think its gettn better with age.. its somewhat of a freak of a motor. Ask me in July this year to see how the supercharger is effecting it, hopefully I will have the same response

Yeah thats apparently what they say about a good wine... Althou if you put power steering fluid n wine in front of me I wouldnt know the difference... But yes 3.5ltr has been brilliant to me :D

Mines got 190,000 plus Kms on it and it's going fine. If I told what I haven't had done to it you'd shoot me. Either I'm lucky or stupid.

220000ks here and all is well.

just make sure you service it when time comes and no cheapo crapo parts and you will be fine.

History of regular servicing is always good.

Only thing that usually goes wrong with older Magnas is engine mounts,
they only last a certain time/distance and will regularly need replacing.

not far wrong there... my seat-of-pants-dyno always suspected it.
The 156k 147kW seems to go a bit harder than my 3y younger 58k 155kW,
no signs of a blower bolted on the TH either.
