I was told that the reason my Magna might lack power/torque is due to a worn coil (the thing that the middle lead on the dizzy connects to)
Can this be true?
It lacks power and stutters sometimes at constant rpm just cruising
Also, how much are these?
Part # ?

What state are the plugs in? If the gap seriously opens up the coil can start gasping.
It lacks power and stutters sometimes at constant rpm just cruising
Is the stuttering between a certain rpm range? Is the tacho jumping around at all?
I think if the coil is gone it should be very difficult or impossible to start the car. If it starts straight away its probably not the coil.

The stuttering I think is around 2-3000rpm
And no it starts straight away when cold, but a bit longer when already hot
The plugs/leads are good as I only changed them not too long ago
Starting sounds normal, I'd say your coil is fine. Given the rev range your car is stuttering in I can almost guarantee its the distributor thats causing it. Keep an eye out for a good, cheap, second hand one to replace it. The problem will get worse with time and mileage, I had exactly the same issue with my TP.

Undo the two clips and take all the leads off (mark them with whiteout so you know what goes where)
Take a look at the rotor and all the contacts, there will be some oxidisation which you can lightly sand off (I used a rotary tool) then give the cap a good clean with metho (watch out for the little graphite stick and the spring) then make sure it is completely dry before putting it back together.
