Ive bought a TJ sports Manual, about a week ago, and am looking to become a big part of these forums. I already have a mate thats on there, and he loves the site.

Ive been searching, and reading the FAQ regarding getting through the firewall. I am just wanting to clarify, because it seems that some of the examples are for different models, and mostly autos. Is the best gromit, still the one on the drivers side next to the pedals ??? If not, please walk me throught it.

However, if that gromit does exist in the TJ Manuals, than i need no more info, as it has been covred before, and the relavant pages book marked.

P.S. Incase it matters what im going to run throught there, its going to be two 4awg power wires.

yeah mate use the gorment to the left of the clutch pedal
should see a round pole like thing connected to it
used a screwdriver to peirce a hole to push the wire through
should be able to fit 0ga wire

hey nice buy, i have a TJ sports manual as well great to drive... i hope yours is black too that would be cool :P

I have a TJ Sports Manual.
On the left side of the console pull back the carpet towards the firewall & pop the plastic clip into the metal of the console & pull the carpet corner on the firewall back more.
You will see a white plastic cover screwed to the firewall & it covers the existing wires that run through.
Unscrew & remove the cover & you can run your cables through the rubber gromit.
It is under your ABS & to the right a bit on the outside.

Bit tricky in places here and there, but overall, an easyjob.
