Hey guys

Just bought a Verada boot garnish from dimi108 (his car is hot!) and it doesnt look like it will fit. I took off my garnish, which has the number plate bit behind built in. Also, my bootlid doesnt have all of the screw holes that the verada one does. has anyone else done this before??? Also, the rectangle depressed part on the bootlid is not cut out for the verada's inner light fitting. i guess i would have to get a new bootlid :(

i think you need the tail lights as well, to do the mod

Yup he already has the tails. Just fitting it onto an existing TS boot is the problem now

as long as there are screw holes for this garnish to go in i dont see why it wouldn't fit.
did you get the backing off dimi too?

What else wont go in? if theres any plastic bits not wanting to fit a dremel is your best friend

the verada garnish has a recessed bit for extra bulb housing, and the bootlid has no hole for the bulb holder surround to go into, so that would need cutting out with a jigsaw i would imagine. and the holes for all the garnish bolts dont line up. and then there is the plate which the number plate screws to, the verada garnish has nothing like what the original garnish has. looking at my pictures you can see the difference between the 2

did you get the number plate backing for the KS garnish?

no i didnt get a number plate garnish. if worst comes to worst and i cant find a verada bootlid (preferably in my colour and with spoiler), then i might well butcher my bootlid and garnish to get the verada one to fit

Hmm okay. So all the bolts are different? Like different order on the garnish compared to the boot?
I guess you could fix that up with a drill and we could pocket a plate garnish from pick and payless this week. Then it should be sweet! Make sure you hook up the garnish lights I gave you too. They are the original ones that came on the UK Sigma :D

But first thing's first. Try to drill or make some holes so the KS garnish fits then we'll source a plate garnish.

drilling holes is no problem, but will have to drill 2 big holes (5x7cm) for the verada light mounting to fit

Ive put the verada rear lights and garnish on my TR GLX, i had to cut out the area on the boot so the extra bit for the lights would fit and drill some extra holes for the studs but it was all worth it. I used a nibbler to cut the boot.

BTW there is a black bit for the numberplate which is supposed to come with it, so I dunno what you want to do about that

If you had listened to me any my multiple replies as well as PM's you would have seen thet you need the lid or the holes cut :) (not having a dig, jsut stating fact)

The KRxi, TR Elite and KS ei/xi all have a slightly different boot lid which has cut outs for the brake lights mounted in the garnish. The basic outside shape is the same but as I have mentioned many a time the lid is different.....

Haha that's right i remember you saying the Veradas have different boots but no one really listened. Hmm see that dave, he's got a plate garnish hanging on my wall in the shed. I reckon ask him how much he'll part with it for and then your set!
I just scored some genuine cup holders off mal so speak to him :D
