Hey everyone, I noticed my rear window defroster was not working when it started to rain and was cold last night. Does anyone have a wiring diagram where I could look at and try to repair it? Cause its making it difficult for me to see, and I believe its making it dangerous for me and other drivers on the road.

Many thanks.

Has it recently stopped working? Have you fitted tinting? It could be lots of things:
1. Fuse blown.
2. People fitting the tint stuffed up the heating elements.
3. The clips at each side of the rear windscreen have come loose.
etc.

I don't have tints. Im thinking that I must've screwed up the button switch when I was pulling out the console trying to install my headunit in. I don't want to open up my aircond button to see how to assemble the defroster button back. It clicks and sounds like it switches something on... but my rear windows are foggy as hell indicating it still doesn't work.

Does the orange light come on when you press the defroster button?

It doesn't, but thats because its the bulb problem. My a/c's bulb is also dead, but that doesn't stop the a/c comming through. Is there someone who could provide me a diagram or some pictures where the defroster is connected too?

How long have the lights not worked?
Sounds like a fuse to me.

I've checked the fuses. They are all ok.

Just an update, I've opened the switch and reinstalled it. I think I've got it working now. The rear windscreen is slightly warm. Is it suppose to be warmer or is that right?

Thanks for your help guys.

Solved your own problem. lol

Glad you got it working. Hey I think you better do something about the aircon and defroster globe indication.

Cheers!

Wreckers maybe?

Yeah wreckers would have em if there was a magna, but I can't be bothered to drive that far to see if there are magna's lying around. I'd go if I was after something more desperately.

But thanks anyway :)
