hey guys,
would I be able to change the ash tray and cigarette lighter to the satnav from a verada gtv

ahha i reckon...btw i think it is just a straight swap over as the sat nav was just put into a thingo that clicks straght into the place where ashtray goes?

by the look of it should go in with no trouble all you have to do it wire it up cos it looks the same but with no try an lighter just the nav.. will look nice in ur car thou:P

yeh its just to "guides" at the bottom, and two clips at the top.
then its just simple wiring it to the CD map thingo under the passenger seat
the system works alright but you need to locate a more up to date WhereIs CD as the original one is missing a lot of things, like the docklands :rant:
i'm just holding out till the frankston freeway is finished
the only down side is the graphics and screen quality/postion and when it tell you to turn forwards??? and turn left than right when on a free way???

if ur paying lots for it, just look for a good eclipse headunit, then ur not looking down just for directions (hello accident)
in that position its almost like looking at an open street directory on the passenger seat imo
