Hey, I've got to replace a rear left hand door and a TR wagon and am just wondering if there is any difference between the sedan and wagon doors?

They look the same but a wrecker has just told me I need a door off a wagon as they are different. Is this true?

Cheers

Not 100% sure, but I just replaced the rub strips on my wagon with colour-contrasted ones I originally sourced from a sedan. No differences with the rub strips, so don't know if that's a good enough indication as to the compatability of the whole door.
As you say, off-hand I haven't noticed any differences, but haven't tried swapping doors.

Spoken to a few wreckers now who have all said the doors are different. Sucks cos the wagon doors cost 3 times as much

Looking at some photos I had the thought that maybe the top rear of the door was more curved on the sedan, but in others it looks the same.

Best bet, ring Parts at your local Mitsubishi. They'll be able to give you a definitive answer, and it will only cost you a phone call.

I tried to fit a sedan door to a wagon and it does not fit as the top frame of the door is not the same, so the guy who fitted the wagon door to a sedan must of used a big hammer!:DI have both a TS sedan KS and TS wagons.
