Sexy silver twin pots :) Very nice! Paint that rotor too, hide that unsightly rust.

cant see the front rotors once the wheels is on. Rear rotors however are clearly visible so im doing them this arvo

How long did it take you?

I would of painted them red.

Dunno but you went to all that effort and you can hardly tell there painted.

also would of done the rotor too

Becuase after a while everyone will get mags with how cheap they are now so if your gonna go to the effort mightaswell make em stand out:D

i think red looks a bit boy-racer to be honest. they were grotty and dirty and were letting down the nice wheels. I cleaned them with Kitten wheel cleaner. damn that stuff is EVIL, but it sure does shift baked-on brake dust!

dimi, took me about 2 hours all up, did 2 coats, let the first one dry before applying another

That's tops dave looks good.

Did you take the calipers off? Or just put newspaper around the disc and stuff?

Dave
01-04-2007, 08:21 PM
yeah i was lazy and just masking taped a bit. heaps of paint got on the discs but that soon burnt off when i took it for a high speed run down the M2

i tried to take my calipers off but it was more trouble then its worth.

i just got some degreaser, a wire brush, some sandpaper, and some towels, and started cleaning....

also when applying the paint its a really good idea to use a hairdryer it bakes it on good

Where can you do these 100km/h to 0 brake tests?

Don't tell me you ripped one of these tests in those 50km zone quiet streets of castle hill lol

Dave

M2 sliproad off pennant hills road hehe, nice and quiet :P

All i did was, buy a wire brush, good brake dust remover, and some masking tape. clean the whole caliper as best you can, masking tape around the parts you dont want sprayed, ie, discs and pad face, rotor. spray in nice even strokes. leave to dry and do another coat. leave to dry, remove masking tape, job done

Hahaha so off the M2 and onto pennant hills road and you hit the brakes at 100km/h!? Or were you coming from pennant hills road and onto the down ramp onto the m2? lol

Dave
