depends on the exhaust if urs is full of holes and leaky then a new factory system will be quieter.

hmmm, will it matter depending on the size of the pipe?

Just get the end muffler replaced with a straight through muffler, you'll be happy with it.. for a while.

If not, step it up a level to a full cat back setup (front muffler, new 2.25" piping, rear muffler).

After that, add extractors, deepen the tone a little and help it breath a tonne.

MMmmm, the rear muffler is the main sound deadening device, if you replace it with a straight through muffler on any car it will increase the sound level, and also rid the exhaust system of a little restriction. In any auto car though, it drones when you're sitting at cruise speed on 2000-2500rpm though.

If you still don't think it's loud enough, you can remove the front muffler (resonator) and replace it with some pipe, this will cause the rear muffler to drone a lot more though.

There are other things if you wonna go all out, extractors, increase piping size, mandrel bends, high flow cats, etc etc.

Another question though, if, in the near future i end up selling my car, once, i've fixed all the mechanical probs & made sure it'll pass rego, what you recon i could get for mi car? Cause i want to make the next owner (i.e red p-pater or green) happy so that way they'll save money on repairs. i'm planning to start saving for a 2nd car starting from june. :)

Back to the topic.

Can straight through pipes can be custom fitted?
