i dont quite remember, the car was in for a service when they discovered the problem... i *think* the total service bill for the whole thing was about 1200??? hmm... could be more could be less... but like i said, they were servicing the car when they discovered the problem...

Hey GBM - did they let you know about the problem - or did they just fix it and tell you to pay for it?? They are obligated to let you know of any problems that arise prior to them fixing them!!

Unless of course it is there fault and then they have to do it!!

The stock engine mounts are to be honest only good for a stock application not for us "Boy Racers" :D

RPW can modify the stock mounts so we remove the rubber and fit with Polyurethane solid mounts that won't break, won't transmit vibrations and will work a lot better at stopping the engine from breaking.

There is a small problem with 3.5l v6 engine mounts, some will feel a slight shudder/ vibration at idle, redesigned mounts have fixed most cars but there is some where it is still slightly evident. It is just a characteristic of the car :D
Earlier magna mounts, g/box and engine tend to sag a bit stressing the front and rear roll mounts eventually tearing/cracking them.

i took my TP in for a service and the guy asked how i had kept the engine in there so long the mounts were that bad. That was bout 4 months ago and they still haven't been done :( (no $$$). The quote he gave me to replace the 3 engine mounts and the gearbox mount was roughly $600.

I honestly cant see why you cant change them yourself if you have a good trolley jack and a couple of mates!!
