Sorry for the thread mine (only 3 weeks so not so bad :) )

Is it legal if I was to put one of these on my Auto and clamp it down so I the button is permanently depressed?

Looks like a decent(ish) knob I kinda wanna give it a go but dont wanna be defected.

Also, thinking about it it might be a little dangerous incase im doing 100km/h and acidentally bump it into reverse, could this happen or would the electronics realise this and stop the gearbox from screwing itself?

Apart from this, Ive been looking at a MOMO one, but its like ~$200 and hard to find.

...the other car in my family is an Xi Verada...its got all the trimmings but if you smack it into reverse while you're moving it will act as if the clutch is in and you can be revving but nothing will happen. ive done this a few times down a hill...id be rolling down to reverse back and we'd be moving to fast, so it wouldnt kick in...So i tried it while going a bit faster on the flat, and the same thing, no smashing of reverse gears and screaching of wheels... I dont know if this is a late 3rd gen verada thing of if its generic... lol, i sure as hell wouldnt do it in my manual 2nd gen...

Hey Mate, thanks for the info, I drive with my hand on the gear knob anyways and I havent acidentally switched from D to N yet, so the chances of it actually ocurring are 0.01%, but wanted to be on the safe side.

I guess for $12 posted, if its crap Ill take it off.

Yer i have noticed on most Auto boxes that even when knocking it down into 1st or 2nd when going too fast the gear wont engage...
