Hi, im chris, im new and yer, soon one of my mates is getting rid of his v3000, and ive arranged to get it for free, so i the comming weeks when i get round to it ill write up on changeing a 2.6l 4cyl to a 3l v6 with a whole lot of pics, but i have come across a problem, i cant decide whether to put a spoiler on or not, i could use the stock v3000 or i could get a evo1 spoiler for cheap, but i wanted to know what you guys thought?
to spoiler or not to spoiler? that is the question :D

No spoiler, these are from Evo's and should stay on them.
As for the engine change, if these are anything like the TR/S all you need to do is change the mount on the LH inner guard, these pick off easilly and can be changed.
Would highly recommend all the V6 running gear from a second Gen TR/S get used as they use larger rotors and different control arms also.

Pfffff dont listen to him (just joooooooooooking:D)
That EVO spolier would look ok BUT ONLY if this car were to be
1) Lowered alot
2) have mags Min 17"
3) and be a clean all round car
If you dont have one of those things the car will just look plain stupid...
Or else a standard spoiler would look just fine :)

yup yup, definately going to be lowering it heaps, probably onto 18's, as in NZ i dont think we have any laws about max tire sizes etc, and my wheel arches are HUGE lol, and yer gonna rip the whole engine and everything out, just use my mates as a donor car and then ring the scrapyard to come pick it up when im done :D

I know you're new... but please learn how to spell.
Don't put an evo wing on your car, settle for something that isn't so 'key my car please'.
With the V6 swap, you'll probably need an engineers certificate for the different location of the engine mount too, so beware of that.
Have fun.

I thought they were called the V3000 because the came with a V6 3000cc engine.

Hey new member!
Paula is right. The car has to look like he's one. Lowered, 17"s minimum and look good.
An evo 1 wing would look nice.
I'm guessing you're from NZ?
I remember that time we were trying to look for V3000 badges calling NZ mitsubishi and what not. Back then I probably would have offered you $200 for your V3000 badges haha thank god i've moved on from that phase lol
Anyway here is an example of an Evo 1 wing. These would look tops i reckon.

Well....Big spoilers anyway..
The EVO 1 one would look sorta big, but sorta small....? cause it looks pretty tiny on that lancer...where as the EVO 6 one is just big
the way you all like them ;)
