valaxy66, don't be so quick to give up on your Pioneer subwoofer. See my reply in your other thread. However, if you are looking for other subwoofers also add these to your audition list (do still include the JL too):

you are aware of the price tag that comes with th W7 range of subs? not cheap at all... i think its roughly 12-1300 dollars for a 10w7.... they are a great sub dont get me wrong but the equivilant and/or better can be had for much less, ask woob about his 10w6... he swears by it, and at the last sound off he got a 136 (??) i beleive, from a single 10 in a big family sedan (built for sq mind you) thats pretty impressive, but yer, check ouut the links marty has provided you with there cos theres some fantastic subs there, bit of a mix there with some dedicated doofers and more sq oriented subs but a great mix none the less... top choice outta those for me would be the dd 3510, treo ssi and the most importantly the IDMAX, and last of all, get out there and audition as many as possible so YOU can see what YOU like, its all well and good asking what theyre like on here, but remember every one has different tastes and different ears... good luck!!
EDIT #2- can i also ask why a 10? from the looks of your other post, you seem to be under the common misbeleif that a 10" is quicker and punchier than a 12".... this is most untrue, its all in the enclosure, i solid, properly built (to specs etc...) enclosure can make all the difference, i know what kind of bass your after, a real tight fast kick that you can feel in your chest yeh? a 10 will do this, yes... but a 12 will have an easier time of it in a properly built and tuned box i dare say
EDIT- with the cross fire "BMF" series... dos the bmf stand for "big mother f*cker"??? thats what i alwayse though it was lol

Yeah I've always thought that's what the acronym stood for too bob.

what about the soundstream subs? or not good for techno music?
Yeah Soundstream are okay too. :)
ten thumbs up for 10W7.. they go LOUD as hell, and sound freakin awesome in the process, ive heard that some stores will sell them for around the $800 mark on the rare occasion, but imo i'd get a W6 over the W7 i think.. sound better imo, but dont go quite as loud
(im after another 3 10W6's if you know of anyone selling any cheap) :)

Alot of people say the W6 sounds better than the W7. Ive always found that a little strange, but ive never listened to either of them :(. Feel sorry for me ? hahaha.
If you get the W7 for a good price, then ye, ill go for it anyday of the week. However, if you paying retail for it, i would probably be inclinded to look at offerings from different companies
