is it possible to connect the climate control out of a KS verada into a TR without the climate control, only air-con??? they are obviously different from the outside to look at, was just wondering if the wiring, plugs behind are similair? cheers.

i highly doubt it will be that easy.

The KR Verada XI and the KS EI and XI have this as well as the TR Elite.
The "Dial" system is cable operated and the Climate control is all electronic.
You would have to do a complete transplant, would not be all that hard to do if you have all the bits and the control units.

thanks Madmagna, seems like i could give it a go, i can get all the necessary parts.
even if i do - doesnt the cliamte control work off 2 separate coolers? like one for the driver's side and one for the passenger? im only saying this as my dad has a lexus with climate control and he has separate temps for driver/passenger. and im not overly familiar with 3rd gens. have a TR

not to mention on the front dash, look in the centre near the window and theres a little plastic square there for the temperature sensor, and i think theres one on the roof aswell.

let me know how you go with this one, i was just dreaming about doing it last night and this came up :?

The one in the roof, well could go with out with no problems.

There is only one cooler and one heater unit just like the cable ones, here is also a control unit, like a mini ecu, cables etc. if you get the parts make sure you remove them so you can see how they go back.

Get a cup holder while you are at it lol

Mate, when I take my dash out again in the near future i can take some pics to show you what is behind if you want.
I may have some already and also on my site in the tech wection I think there are some already.

Does it use the standard heater and cooling units though?

thanks mate - that'd be sweet.. i thought i posted this but when i went to pick up the CC it had been sold with the complete interior of the KR verada, dammit...
im still very keen to do this, and with some photographic aids, might just make it a little easier when i find another CC.
cheers :)
