Has anyone heard of these guys:
www.discpads.com.au
I want to buy some Bendix 4wd brake pads for my TL AWD, and they have both front and back for under $50/set - seems very cheap.
Any other recommendations?
Thanks, Dave

I just used the part numbers - DB1223 for the front and DB1231 for the rear.

doesn't seem cheap to me, bendix GCT's are $59.99 retail for a magna and there the replacement for advance, plus you have to add $10 postage so the bendix standard for a te is over $60 on that website

I just rang repco to get a price on the Bendix 4wd pads - they are over $90 there, which is almost twice the price they are on this website.

lol you must not know what REPCO stands for,
why would you want 4wd pads???? do you go off road?
i'd personally go the gct's search on here and people have commented how good they are, i sell about 100-150 sets of gct's a month so that must account for something

I think he means the pads for the AWD Magna... Bigger pads coz of the bigger brakes...

Where would you recommend? I just used REPCO for comparison - wasn't going to buy there.
I've heard good things about the 4WD pad - can handle the heavy load and are good for day-to-day driving. I don't drive the magna too hard, so am after a fairly long-lasting pad (with not too much dust) rather than one that is designed for racing conditions.
I'm happy to hear other suggestions.

Bendix 4WD disc brake pads are designed for 4WDs and SUVs that drive on city, country and outback roads for general commuting and recreational purposes…on road feel and off road tough.
Bendix 4WD have been delivering superior and well-proven performance over many years. Bendix 4WD pads are purpose designed and manufactured using materials specific to applications, gasketed to make them quieter and they operate effectively at temperatures around 380C compared to the 260-280C range of lower priced general purpose pads.
Drivers also report positive feedback on such attributes as noise, harshness, vibration and dust.
With ordinary brake pads frequent braking in heavy city traffic one day, towing or outback adventure driving the next can cause overheating, leading to fade and shorter pad life .
Bendix 4WD brake pads are known for their exceptional fade resistance. They last well in adverse conditions and will not fade when the 4WD is loaded up in high temperature conditions.
Bendix General CT are general purpose disc brake pads for passenger vehicles, specifically suited for general suburban, city and freeway driving.
Bendix General CT disc brake pads have raised the standard in every day driving, whether it’s around town or on the open road. They are made from premium materials and balance economy with efficiency like no other comparable product.
Bendix has taken the best of current ceramic technology from Europe and the US to create a compound especially suited to Australian conditions.
General CT brake pads are quieter, cleaner and deliver a consistent pedal feel all day long.
In addition, General CT extends rotor life by leaving a special coating or film on the rotor surface.

Where can I get some cheap GCT (delivered to Sydney)?

Just rang autobarn - they said $65 for fronts and $70 for rears. Is this the best price available? Is it worth getting the Bendix heavy duty pads for only $45 and $47 from the website mentioned?

i have rda slotted rotors and bendix 4wd pads
i say avoid them if you can...
as soon as i get some $$$ they are coming out and some decent pads are going in, they are the 2nd set that i have had fitted, the first ones were swapped out after a few days for free. poor brake performance etc...
the problem is that the high performance brake pads destroy the rotors grind squeal and make more dust than normal...
but im very dissapointed with the current setup i have, the factory mitsubishi dealer service supplied pads on std rotors worked much better with excelent resistance to fade,
the rda/4wd bendix combo will show sign of fade from one decent stop from 80km/h
going for the dba 4000 series rotors and ebc pads when i got $$ lol

I have the CTs front and rear in my TJ. Picked the fronts up when I lived in Brisi for $50, and the rears here in Canberra for $50 also. Was quoted $65 for rears at FYshwick but got a discount when I turned up, Repco was about $80 from memory. Much better feel than the stock brakes that were in there (they still had about 4mm on fronts and 2 mm on rears when I changed them).
. Good value and price, apparently the std Bendix are lower spec than OEM - not sure if thats true but CTs were not much dearer and worth a try.
