G'day guys,

Just wanted to post a thread on the project about to be undertaken on my magna. Its going to be a total body overhaul, starting with the front tomorrow. Adza's custom front bar inspired me to totally customise mine, so with a bit of help from my wallet ive chosen a bar online and am going to get it cut and specially fibreglassed to fit and then with the add ons such as para's and foggies and a new custom grill (yes, im getting around to it adza! lol next weekend!) it will complete the front look. The sides will be remodled with the sideskirts from SSV and the door panels will be removed and resprayed white to code them. the back wheel arch will also be remodled with new corner pieces to fit with the skirts. The rearbar will be replaced with a new one (without dents!) and possibly customised with side pods and cut to fit a twin exhaust. This first stage of project magnahaul is going to be a massive transformation :) and it all begins tomorrow, so wish me luck! lol im gonna need it! I'll post pics when it all starts to come together.

Cheers,
Adz

Sounds great! Can't wait to see some pics.

Roughly how much does it cost to customise and fit a front bar (not including the cost of the kit in the first place)?

lower it.... are u nuts... its already down like 3"

$1000 for a bar is not too bad custom fitted and that... mines cost me $250 so far :) + paint (another $50)
oh and for anyone who cares its now fixed and being prepared for me to attack it with a spray gun :)

project sounds good adamj

lol nope! Not yet mate, not until all the work is done and she's show-room-ready! Then ill post a whole heap of pics...
P.S. Anyone buying sideskirts for their TR/TS should NOT get them from SSV sydney, they have crap service, and charge twice the real price!

I second that.
SSV are rip offs and only have a small range.

Carmate are no good either. Very expensive and poor customer service.

You can modify side skirts made for Lexus LS400 and Toyota Chaser to fit a second gen. Couple of people have done this in the states on the diamante owners forum.

Here are some examples of the side skirts

I went direct to the stockist that supplies them to the SSV jerks...Talon... they have a customer hotline and he had them brought up from melbourne within the day, im picking them up 2moz, $280 primed for the pair...they are the fluted ones, the exact same as the ones SSV are selling for $440 a pair! *** rip off eh....
lol im still gonna try and get a further discount by paying cash...

Dude, how often do you get pulled over??? Im guessing maybe once or twice every six months...

Why worry about it..

So i was pretty accurate. I doubt you will be pulled over coz of not having ur grill. Their attention would be drawn to the VL commy with the front bar off all together claiming that they are 'gonna turbo it' ... lol

dimi108
12-04-2007, 02:12 PM
LOL you'll be right son.
Drove without a front bar on the supra exposing front mount and got RBT'd and they asked what happened I said front bar got hit by someone in the car park.
Mate had to drive without a front bar as well in his 200sx. Someone stole his front bar and grille. Rediculous.

But yeah, you'll be fine!

Of course I had the headlights in.

AdamJ2006
12-04-2007, 04:05 PM
...thats so dodgy that someone stole his front bar, where was that so i know not to go there!

G'day again folks,

My Project "Magnahaul" has been underway for a few weeks now, and with all the parts orders and some completed i thought everyone would be eager for a post of some new pics. The front bar is to be custom fitted and painted at a workshop west of sydney work starting on tuesday but i managed to do the sides myself as well as the door panels, its missing a few pieces (including the front grill! :bowrofl: ) but its getting there. Hope you all enjoy.

Cheers,
Adz

P.S. lol sry the car is *** dirty, it rained here for once!
