Hi :D
I recently purchased a Remanufactured 01 Magna and have only had the car a week. The problem is that a couple of days after i got it, the plastic that surrounds the radio / ventilation controls keeps squeaking. Is there a easy fix, because even though I got new car warranty, it states it wont cover squeaks and rattles.
When i drive i try and dodge bumps etc, but i have this feeling the interior is going to fall apart unlike my mums 98 camry with 70000km which is still rattle free.
Someone please help because i dont want to buy a toyota again!
Try removing the console and lining the sides (the parts that rub) of it with a very thin film of silicone grease..
Should sort you out.

Theres a difference in 'new car warranty' and 'new car warranty'
New as in fresh out of the plant DOES cover things like squeaks and rattles.
2nd hand cars being sold with 'New car warranty' doesnt cover sqeaks and rattles. Due to the Dealerships not know what sort of strains/stress the car has been under from previous owners..

I would reccomend pulling everything out ouf your console and looking for rubbing patches on the plastic, that is generally how you find these things. Its not unusual for a cars interior bits to move when the car is under stress.
There is a tech article on the website on how to remove your centre console so give that a read over.
Hope it helps
