gday, well as some of you may know my side skirts sit lower than anything else on my car so once again i have destroyed them(well 1 of them) over another lil curb acident(but i wil get them properly fixed later on)

over the past few weeks with driving around wit no skirts on my car,ive decided to get sometin new,so i went to mitsubishi motors and ordered me some edit:ground efects side skirts!(corected by black beard and maddog cheers guys)
i had a look at the bms skirts on fastmagna.com and msged bunbury motorsports for a quote, but it was abit too much than wat i expected and i managed to get the side skirts for about 175 bucks each!and i got them both painted for 150 bucks and on top of that fitted for about 40 bucks each which was less than wat i expected!
so im realy happy, anyways heres some pics,i also got my headlights tinted, with some legal 30% grade tint(tinted eyelids mod)

now im strongly thinking about lowering the front, but im stil undecided wit wat i want to do,does any1 know if its posible to compress lovel low springs?or should i just get super lows for the front maybe?
anyways another mod i did this week,i customised my gear stick to a custom short shifter!
we cut it down abit an inch and a half, then welded the top to the bottom so we could put the gear nob back on,im waiting on a new gear stick holding to arive(gear stick bag)but il post up pics wen it arives and is fitted
enjoy

Nope, definetly not VRX sideskirts. Looked at a VRX lately?
They are whats called "Ground effects" skirts, based on the limited sports wagon kit if memory serves me right.
BTW....... love the first pic :bowrofl: , thats one way to make sure you don't scrape your sideskirts anymore........ strap them to the roof of your garage lol

if you want to be a real bastard about it. take it back demand the vrx ones as you were misled and by law they have to do whats receipted. then offer to buy the ground effects one cheap seeing as they been painted etc (otherwise theyll be stuck with a skirt thats 2nd hand) and either keep it as a spare or ill buy it off ya :D

I would say he's paid an alright price from mitsubishi, even though i could have hooked him up with real vr-x skirts for alot less :P.
Personally i think the ground effects skirts suit your car more than the vr-x ones would, so maybe it was a blessing in disguise?

problem with 3rd gen's is, to get the arches looking even front and rear, the chassis actually ends up much lower at the front, he is already suggering the scrapes atm, if he went any lower it would be a nightmare :\
ive got lovell superlows on my front, tiny bit lower than his, with a stock front bar, and i scrape quite easily :(

Car looks tons better now the side skirts are level with the front bar!
And damn thats a short shifter alright... is it physically hard to get it into gear??
As for the ride height, it's at a good height, but the gap between arch and tyre at the front is too big and makes it look wrong...
