i need to pop the lid off my supercharger in the coming weeks for "reaserch reasons". i was wondering what sealant is used, or what is another good product to use to re seal the lid when we come to re installation.

Jase,
There are a couple of types u can get. 1 is a silicone base and it sets to, well, obviously a hard rubbery silicone type, or there is the non hardening type. An example of this is loctite 515 flange sealant, it doesnt harden, and i have used it on motorbike engine casings, without paper gaskets without any problems, and i did the rear bank of plugs on the TE and used it, again without the gasket and have had no problems.
Hope this helps,
Chrislol

You will need to avoid the use of a silicone based sealant as this will destroy the o2 sensor. There are some sealants which declare to be 02 and Cat safe, steer towards one of these
