Hi guys, Im just installing some parra's and I've got a question...(they are one piece parra's)
When you use the highbeam, are the lowbeams suppose to switch off or is it suppose to stay on? My low beams turn off when highbeams are used and they turn back on when the highbeam are off.

Thanks...

Do a search. or even better read the how to wire the parra's up threads, the wiring on the parra's are different to magna.

OMG

there is a reason why we drew the wiring diagram.

Please read the full writeup on DIY thread.

Whats the point of only having highbeams without lowbeams on?

Relax, Of course I have read it! Obviously I came across a problem,. I was not asking HOW to install/wire it... I was looking for where I went wrong.
And the problem was: I didn't wired it properly...I needed someone to tell me :bowrofl:

There is NOwhere in that DIY thread telling me if both low/high beam should be on...

I thought this was obvious. Naturally people need to go back to basics. :bowrofl:
If you phase the question Urm I had my lights on the lowbeam not on when I turn on highbeams, is there something wrong? I did? Anyway thanks! Because you said that, I have included this in the write up MAKING IT OBVIOUS now.

The IDEA is to have both lights on when on Highbeam mode, and only lowbeams with parker when using normal headlights.

I would have definately wont think it was a dumb question.

Well its not obvious for some who hadn't installed a set and wanting to make sure. I guess it defeats the purpose of writing a tutorial if it wasn't straight to the point for newbies and you had to assume things. Anyhow, now you see why I started this thread, really nothing to argue/frustrate about, instead I've helped improve your tutorial. :)

And next time you ask a Question don't assume that everyone know what you've already done, take the time to say the steps you have followed as it makes it eaiser to diagnose the problem, we all want to help, but it makes it hard when it sounds like you've just plugged them in.

and I'm not flamming you, I'm hoping evreyone who wants help will give enough info to those who can help them, if I had the info in your first post I would have given a very different answer.

Well thanks for that... but just to let you know. It was a basic question, no assumptions whatsoever. I just needed to know if the lowbeams would switch on if I used highbeams at the same time.- that was my question...

I would have worked out that I've screwed up something, THEN I WILL ASK something else if I still couldn't get it to work and of course an update of steps to my problem. In conclusion, the answer should have been: Yes or No. Nexus assumed not only to think I didn't even know how to read but to use the search feature, and I found his overreaction offensive. Hmm I wonder how hlucin8 got it right...
Anyhow thanks for your guides Nexus, DVS it was great!
