Hey All Got 1500 To Spend So I Either Want A New Magna Or Verada lol But If I cant find one 4 my price range then tht 1500 will be gettin pored into my TN so what do use rekon i should or could do 4 1500. cars had new head and gaskets does need new tappets so tht will be one thing to fix asap.

Im thinking

1. get rid of the rust
2. engine work
3. put on my elante kit
4. new stereo system
5. sum mags

And Deffenatly a Cannon Or nice Sounding Zorst

if u can do all that for 1500 then i say do it. why would u want another
magna? parts car or somthing or u getting bored of your current magna? id do the rust and tappets cos there more needy jobs , well more needy than looks. once uve done that find some alloys and polish them up or paint em, then fitt ur elante kit and save a little for tint and u'd be set for a while:D

iam bored of my current magna had it 4 ova 9 months now but i do like it so smooth to travel in gotta love the se interior. so yer i rekon im gonna go all out and make it look good and make the engine last another 100.000kms hence its done 374,500 at the moment lol.

so if any of you's know of any good lookin cheap rims or alloys let me know.

so plan is engine work, loud zorst,rims, rust free lol and maybe have enough left 4 tint

but i do like it so smooth to travel in gotta love the se interior

Why get rid of it?They are a nice car.I do miss my TN wagon:cry: Do what you can to keep it on the road.:cool:

Whats your timing chain condition like? Could be something to extend engine life.
I am thinking of replacing mine soon.. anyone know what an average mechanic would charge for new timing chain fitted?

I'll admit dude, that thing is fairly damn comfy for it's age and kms :o! actually, more comfy long distance than my sisters VT Acclaim haha (well that was your old magna I think haha both the same!)

Tints
Lower it

and look around wreckers for some cheap cheap mags... u pull it would be bound to have something in your price range...

yeah when i was up in adelaide ova easter we went to the lonsdale u pull it and they had a few mags 4 sale. yeah well i need to supension all round now ( rooted) so lower might be the way to go. tint would be kool and if i can find sum nice alloys to shine up they would look good the rust is the first thing to do though.

Yeah definitely do the rust first and the Engine work and then maybe put some mag's on her, will make the car look so much better.

Safe it, sign up for an online trading acount and buy some bhp/woodside shares & watch 'em grow! :)

Save that 1500, maybe just a cd player, and get some more money and buy yourself a nice sexy 3rd gen 3.5Ltr Manual :D (Can pick one up for around 7-8000 these days and the engines are really strong :)) - Thats not to say you CAN'T kill it...

yea but what happens if he likes driving his first gen:D not everyone likes 3rd gens and would dump there first gen for one!!:)

well sorry first genners i just went out and bought a gen 2 i just bought a 1992 KR Verada.

But im still keepin my first gen :)

I was going to suggest spend your money on a Luxo version, at least have all the nice stuff. Word of warning though, once ya got the nice stuff it's hard to give em up.

plus there more to go wrong as these first gens are getting older the electrics are starting to be a pain:D
