hey everyone

i got a POD today, and i have to say it is a very worthwhile mod

b4 my car seemed to run out of guts at around 5500rpm, but now it seems to pull all the way to the redline ,

just thought i'd let you guys know that the POD filters (with appropriate CAI) are a very worthwhile mod, because i was very skeptical about this type of air filter b4 i got it done

later 8)

BTW, i got the Mitsubishi specific POD, with the front half of the stock air-intake still in place

Grats on your pod purchase.

Dont you feel the lag though now in the low revs limit?

Personally i would have went for the panel ;)

My car has a standard air intake, and pulls all the way past the redline.... and still has power.......

Yeah, but there's no point to go that far. For fastest accelleration, you want to go to a hundred or so RPM past your peak power. You may keep pulling faster past peak power, which should be expected, but your acceleration is slowing down.

hey everyone, i got it from RPW the other-day,and it is a K&N one if anyone was wondering

also, Bain: no i dont really find a lag in the lower revs, possible below 3000rpm there may be a slight lag, but if i am dragging or whatever i find that my revs usually stay above 4500rpm anyway hehe

also, there is a much more deep-throbbing noise under hard acceleration, it makes the 3L sound like a 4L hehe, which is a good thing,

and when i said that my car "runs out of guts at 5500rpm" i didnt mean that i wont go past 5500rpm  , but that the time taken to go from 5500rpm-6000rpm is longer than say, the time to go from 5000-5500rpm,but now with the pod it seems to pull at a better rate higher up in the rev range (after 5500rpms)if u catch my drift, ..... i think that maybe peak power may have moved up the rev range possibly a couple of hundred rpm's higher,

i would recommend one purely for the noise and i think it should be a good building block for other breathing mods (TB,extractors etc ), but also for the increase in power, i was very much PRO:Panel b4 this if the skeptics were wondering, but in a last minute decision i thought i may aswell get a POD haha, ....... and im very happy with it heheh
