hello all,

been thinking about this and just wanted ur opinions!

really want to do suspension mods and i can think of 2 ways to do it:

1. the works from whiteline (for approx. $2400 last time i checked... CAN ANYONE CONFIRM OR UPDATE)... i believe they use koni's
http://www.fastmagna.com/products/whiteline/CK_Magna_TE.PDF

2. monroe gas gt + king springs + whiteline handling pack (should be cheaper than option 1 but maybe more troublesome to implement)

so can any1 provide some feedbac as to which option i should take and ur reasons!

help much appreciated guys :D

I would personally suggest the following package which I can vouch for personally from use as well as from a quality point of view knowing things about the industry that people like yourselves would not necessarily know.

(A) Lovells lowered springs all round
(B) KYB shock absorbers - priced similiar to Monroe / qaulity marginally below Koni units
(C) White line rear sway bar
(D) White line strut brace

This package is all you honestly need don't go into the anti lift kits which really for the majority of street cars would never be pushed hard enough to warrant the fitment of them.

That is my recomendation anyway - I have everything above on the TT magna except the shocks at this moment and I have used the cars for drags, autokana's, long drives to albany and it does everything perfectly with no real side effects.

And of course I can do special pricing on them now as well

If a car hit 190ish HP at the wheels and was used on the dragstip a bit for quarter mile action, would the anit lift kit from Whiteline be of use? What does this kit comprise of? I saw a picture at some stage and it looks like some boots or mounts or something. Can you explain what it is, how it works and how effective it's supposed to be? Any idea if it has any adverse effects or ride quality? I think Gami has it fitted. Any one else able to provide feedback?

Whatever you do, deffinately get part (C) & (D) mentioned here. I love mine. :D

Some good general reading here from Whiteline for those that are looking to upgrade suspension components in front-wheel-drive vehicles....

I fitted my Whiteline Strut brace the other day. Nice piece of gear, seems to firm up the front end.

I understand the Lovells springs are a heavier spring than the Kings, so ideally i will be able to control most of the body roll through the springs.
The VRX already runs a rear bar, once the springs go in, i'll see if it needs an uprated rear bar.

As for Shocks, for me its Koni all the way......there is a big difference between Konis and Monroes and the like, and it becomes more apparent with each mile ;)

I have set up a couple of cars (not magnas) for street and circuit use, and what i would advise is for people to buy the best shocks they can afford straight up (upgrading to a Koni / Bilstien on a new car is never a backward step.....Shocks are one of the items that OEM notoriously cut corners on) From there tweak the car bit by bit until you arrive at a comfort/handling compromise you are happy with. You may well find you dont need the whole kit.

The anit lift kit I am still going to try on my TT magna.

If people want to hold on that and wait till I fit it to my magna sometime in the next couple of weeks I can let you all know whether its wortwhile or not as my car will certainly test it to the full limit.
