hi guys, well as those who know me already know... i thought i had left the forums, but here i am 2 days after getting my new car.

last night my housemates TR magna got broken into on more:cry: st inner melbourne.

whoever it was left perfect prints and blood and didnt take anything, all there was to take were a few cds anyway. probably a junkie looking for cash.

anyway if anyone is out there with a spare parts wagon or a spare window and some know how on how to fit these it would be greatly appreciated.

she was going to get it fixed asap but i said i know a whole group of people willing to help, so anybody out there?

I think you will find it hard to get a second hand glass if glued it may break

a full second hand rear wagon door might be the way to go

maybe a wrecker can get the same colour as your car

haha yeah, wel if you break into a uni students car thats not smart period, especially a run down white magna wagon, im sure there would have been some nicer cars there.

yeah i thought about just getting a new tailgate, but you know girly girls, she would freak if i told her i was going to get a new tailgate lol

plus i was hoping its not that hard, i have taken a window out before but havent put one back in. [that tends to happen with restoration doesnt it? start but never finish]

OT, but just a reminder to be careful around it for a while, if there was blood everywhere and if you think it may have been a druggie (or just in general anyway), especially if there is any broken glass left around. You tend to forget about such things.

Spray everything with disinfectant or bleach... can't be too careful these days.

Yeah man wreckers will have a replacement for you.

yeah, hadn't thought about the blood, turnsout it wasnt blood, just some cherry sap from the tree it was parked under.

any recomendations on wreckers? we might go the whole ntailgate after thinking about it.

How come you want a whole new tailgate? (By tailgate, do you mean the whole rear wagon door that lifts up and down?)

Window will take 20 mins to cut out of a gate, use a wide blade retractable knift. Installing is just as easy, use sikoflex if you do it your self or get it fitted, will cost about 40 or so bucks for a pro to do it
