some of u may remember my thread asking about what may have possibly have happened to my car, well to those that read it and are wondering... it broke the oil pump in the GB, broke the torque converter and pump assembly.

now does this sound reasonable to you guys:

$704.00

recond. torque converter
$320.00

pump leak repair kit
$38.50

2 reverse input frictions
$36.00

Filter
$47.00

Atf type M
$92.00

Second hand pump assembly
$285.00

Frieghts and materials
$26.40

3 month / 15k warrenty on parts and labour associated with repair only.

Sounds pretty good. $1500 is more or less the middle of the road as far as rebuilds go. A bloke on Sydney's North Shore quoted me $4000 for a strip and rebuild... $47 for a filter is a bit steep though.

4 grand? Seems like people are getting ripped off with auto rebuilds. A mitsu dealer will charge less than 3 grand for a complete rebuilt exchange auto, fitted, with 12 months unlimited klms warranty. Also includes a torque convertor.

p.s: that's for a 3rd gen auto

torque convertor is too expensive, get the convertor and take it youself to qld torque converters in stafford, also filter sound over priced
