he has a TH, i've been helping him with the work, got them all mounted etc just having trouble finding an entry point in the firewall into the cabin. where the main loom comes in is hard to access properly and is very well sealed, so we're looking for alternate suggestions.

there is one entry point through the firewall in the middle of the cabin.
if you look behind the console on the very bottom you'll see a whitish "nut protector" that cricket players use. best access it the passenger side.
the whitish cover is attached with 2 bolts. undo the do remove the bolts.

from the engine bay you need to take off the MAS sensor + black piping. attached to the firewall is a round black cylinder with 3 hoses coming out of it. from memory 1 from the top and 2 at the bottom.
all you need to do is lift the whole container and shift it out of the way.
then you'll be able to see the entry point of the firewall to the cabin. get a stanley knife and poke a hole in the 'gommet' (black protective rubber).
then get your wires and feed it through the engine bay.....

hope that makes sense.. :D
if not, theres a webpage here that someone did... couldnt find it but will look again...

happy hunting!

what happens if this is a TF. i think someone (manual) posted a pic of the black gromett thingy next to the footrest. i looked at the thing in my car today. so what do i do? yank it out or drill a hole in it? it seems to exit the other side into the engine bay right behind the engine tho

what i did in my TE was actually poke a big long skewer through that black plastic from inside the cabin. As said above it can be accessed by removing the white "nut protector". u cant miss it :)
