Same... I keep coming across these as I wander through the wreckers and remembering the spluttering carby I have under the bonnet. Let me know how you go and we can do a brain-info swap :D

yeah i did it definitely worth it. deanimus was next and i think he loved it too. i would be doing a manual convert over efi convert anyday. the cars power will pick up dramatically. however i did both

Do you need to change engine mounts to change to EFI?!?

the head ,inlet and exhaust manifolds needed to be changed

and the front half of the wiring loom out of the donor car is required and the engine management computer

the dash has to be taken apart for the internal wiring

all of that conversion can be done without taking the engine out

allow 2 1/2 days

deanimus had chains done at the same time so that made it a longer time

I would not reccomend you do and auto to manual conversion at the same time

wait till the auto has to come out for good

I got no idea now my luck ill wire the indicators to the fuel pump and it will cut out when i turn right or left -.- There doesnt seem to be anyone in SA that has done it :(

Mate without lying to u, it has been the best thing i have done for my car, it has given me so much more gain.
Going from carby(2nd stage line blocked and 2nd line of 2nd stage half blocked) to efi has been one of the best learning stages as well. mine you i did a bit more.(chains and cv ect).

but the carbies on the magna is too complicated. so efi is a winner. work out your budget, get everything BEFORE you start and expect things to stuff up. ie loom then you can fix everything along the way. Also have workshop book.

but power difference was huge!!!!, coming out of brisy was such a great feeling.

my wiring plugged directly into the main harness in the car i was completely shocked
also fuel pump must be changed otherwise she wont start
