having problems getting my spare tyre out mainly because my subs and box wieghts 90kg
does anyone have a solution for more boot space

that bit of ply that sits onto of your spare wheel
just cut it down abit from the end that is sitting under the sub box

are your subs sitting at the frnt of the boot or towards the back

lol @ 90kg, the most that thing would weigh would be like 40-50kg haha... Try Hamish's sheet iron install :shock: Heavy metal! Literally!

Yup, that'd be the best way out of it.

I've attached a pic of what I did with my boot install. I had to cut a new piece of timber to cover the spare wheel, as the original wouldn't move out with the sub box in. It leaves just enough room to get the spare wheel out.

instead of the 2x type S, get a single Type R, mounted in the corner of the boot like so:

Simple solution, never get a flat :cool:

Seriously though, it depends on far foward you box comes. If its like mine, is is just on the wood that comes stock (covers the spare), then it will probably be better to just cut a fraction foward of where the screws are. It wont move anywhere because its cut to size, and yet you will be able to take out you spare.

However, if your box sits more over the actual tire, then the only thing to do would be to build a new box.
