after i dissconnect my battery and then reconnect it i find my car wants to stall why is this happening

Your ECU just needs time to 're-learn' the correct idle settings, as it resets when you disconnect the battery. Good news is the problem usually fixes itself after a few drives!

If it doesn't, try slightly increasing the idle speed - the screw's on the right hand side of the intake manifold...

I find driving with the A/C off the first few times also helps..

Letting the car idle in N or P for 10 mins or so after disconnecting the battery in an auto will generally eliminate the problem in my experience.
