according to your profile you have a KE Verada.. So you dont have a spoiler.. You'll need the bars as stated above otherwise your boot wont open easily and it will slam shut real hard.... apart from that, drill the required holes and it will sit fine...
if you want to do the job properly order a seal kit from mitsu

look inside your boot under the parcel shelf.. you'll see a few bars.. they are what makes your boot want to open when you press the button on your remote.. they also hold the weight of the boot when u swing it open.. and they also stop the boot from slamming shut really hard when you push down on it 2 close it... if you add the ralliart spoiler to your boot, the extra weight wont be handled by the bars you have .. you need ones out of a ralliart magna prefferably.. but a vrx or sports ones will also do... if you dont get these your boot probably wont pop open and it will defintly shut very very hard and possibly end up doing damage

the torsion bars the run under the parcel shelf in the boot. there are different versions for cars with or without spoilers, the difference is more than i thought too!
my boot is completely sound deadened, and doesnt even pop up when the release is activated (standard bars), and then some people that have de-winged theirs have the boot fly open as theres no weight on them anymore!

righto ! will look around for different torsion bars but I know they a pain to get in as I had to replace one when I got the car.

make sure you put a rust preventative on the holes that you drill, as well as get the seals, otherwise youll start noticing surface rust after a couple of days and it doesnt get any better over time

Even better mate, if you do NOT have a spoiler, we can swap bars as I just removed my spoiler and now my boot opens a million miles an hour.

i was offering OP. but if he doesnt want we can swap.
i dont like having to stand there and tackle the boot as it tries to fling into the sky when i open it...

I offered as I *think* the OP lives near me. Otherwise, where are you located?
My car came WITH a spoiler which has since been removed, so I have a bar that will support the extra weight, looking for one that is a bit softer and wont fling the boot open.
