hey guys. was just wondering where on earth would i be able to pick up a talon bodykit, talon have only got side skirts but i want front bar as well. does anyone know where would be a place to go/contact.

there is no front bar from talon.
the only front for a second gen is from SSV and its crap..
thats why i made the custom one(my avatar)
i have the skirts and its cheap to get them from talon.

:stoopid: ...the real problem is that there IS NO front bars made specifically for the 2nd gen, the skirts are the only thing from Talon, but as Adza said, and what im doing as well, is to either get a custom bar made up, or to do it yourself.
Any more q's, just fire this way.

oh true that really sucks...would you be able to customise a gen 3 one or not? but if someone does happen to make a small batch of custom front bars i am very very interested!!!

i think said small batch would be one of the most valued things every put on this site for the 2ng gens, everyone would want one if it was half decent. we can all wait in hope or go make our own

indeed it would...its quiet a complex and expensive task to set a 2nd gen up with a custom bar...if its not that, then its like Adza's lol just very time consuming! however the rewards are oh so sweet when it is done...2nd gens are a totally sexy beast when they are modded up well...cant wait to see the finished product of the current mods of a few.

the other day i found a set of fibreglass moulds for a frontbar, sideskirts and a rear skirt, the guy put it on his v3000, and it looked wicked az! but he was selling the moulds for 400 bux, i was thinkin, if i bout it, i could probably sell the products and make my money back by selling one or 2... problem being i didnt have 400 just sitting around twiddling its thumbs... so i watched as the hours ticked away and finnaly dissapeared... ah well... lmao

im serious thou, i have seen plenty damage from people doing these sorts of things, either because they have an opinion on the vehicle or they are jealous.
my mate's VT commodore had to have a full respray because some moron took to every panel with a sharp object...
i have already caught 1 person trying to key somebodies car, took his photo and told him i would call the cops if i catch him again.
just don't do it... don't even joke about it, seriously its not a funny matter, if you are a car lover and have had this done to you, you would understand.
its worse than what happened to me recently, which was getting my front torn off by a truck.. at least i can get a new and respray 1 part.. where as keying is a respray depending on how many panels have been keyed.

Not sure how much they cost - been told they're cheaper from Talon than SSV.
But I can tell you they are really easy to fit. Even I did it!
Couple of screws and your done (I used stainless steel ones so they wouldn't rust).
Some use stickaflex (or whatever that stuff's called :confused:) as well.

lol oh god puck plz tell me you didnt just use screws and sticky tape :bowrofl: **adz watches the skirts fall off down the road** ...what i used, and adza as well, was pop rivets, and silicon glue...adza even took it a step further and bracketed the end of the skirt to the car, i just filled it with expand foam and screwed into it, and then again at the front... lol make sure they wont come off...i think rivets is a good way to go...
