G'day,
Is it possible to put the LSD from a manual Ralliart into an auto one?
Cheers

no
manual box has a different transfer gearbox to diff ratios
and the diff itself is built differently in the housings
the auto defeats the use of an lsd because of the indirect torque converter

Well there are some new options.
RPW is trialling now the Quaife LSd range or ATB Differentials. Now the goods news is if this works out we now have a very different LSD available for manuel and AUTO vehicles.
Yes you read it correct auto cars can now have a LSD.
These are a gear driven and do not require special oils, do not skip or make funny noises round corners, in fact are just like a normal differential only 400% stronger.
They Quaife works by transferring load from teh wheel that is spinning to the wheel that has traction in a nutshell, thereby increasing traction. Unlike a clutch pack style which just locks up both wheels allowing one wheel to still spin.
I am trialling this right now and should have some more feedback in approx 1 weeks time on these but we are very hopefull on them.
Best of all Quaife provide a lifetime garauntee on there differentials against breaking - if it breaks they will replace it free. You can't beat that for service.
RPW is applying now to become a Quaife dealer for Australia. Meanwhile we are already ordering in a batch of these in the next 2 - 3 weeks. IF these work out as well as we expect, we will no longer be importing the cusco range in for the V6 models.
For those wanting more information on these check the following link

We don't have fixed pricing on these yet but they will be similiar priced to the cusco range we beleive.

Yeah, my TJ Sports had that. It doesnt help get an more power to the ground though as it just cuts power to reduce wheelspin.
