K, i have done (well tried) to many burnouts and done a RH CV, anyone used Outer Control mobile CV repairers? Or know of anyone getting rid of a gd cond second hand CV joint assembly? (1998 Auto sedan in Perth)

I also want, actually NEED (car now shuddering oops) to get some new front brakes & Rotars (they have already been grinded b4 DH suggested not to do it again coz then they will be undersized or some crap) Bendix premium? any thoughts?

Thanks :D

so you take out your mums auto magna and do burnouts hey.. interesting!

if u want a cheap fix you can buy new rotor and pad sets on ebay pretty cheap then fit yourself if your capable. cant help you with the CV sorry.. but stop doing burnouts :)

cv boot replacement

a second hand cv joint may not go the distance

make sure the cv you get is packed with molly grease and not the cheaper grease that goes milky and leaks out of the boot

rofl!!!!!
I would suggest getting rotors from ebay, if you are money-conscious. Otherwise i think theyre around $80 from parts shops? Pads are around $50 a set..get bendix general CT at least.
As for the CV, get a brand new one. Pretty important component.

Wel rotors from Repco, aussie brand $49.99 ea but i get trade so about $35 :p and the brake pads i decided to get the Bendix CT for $80 and Outer control are doing both CV's for $270, so pretty happy with those prices, i was thinking the cost was going to be HUGE!

Well yes i have 2 kids lol but i am only 23

Conversation with my 4 year old son today...

Him- "Mum go do fishies?"
Me- "No coz its naughty and mummy broke her car"
Him- "tell dad to fix it, i wont tell the coppers"
Me-

So no not always a "good" thing, although i was pretty "cool" at high school when my dad used to come in his hotted up WB stato and let rip out the front of the school! Lets say i will be 80 and still driving my magna trying my best to do a decent burnout....

I need mine done.

Where is outer control? do you have contact details for them and what brand parts do they use?

Thanks

Outer Control, mobile or save $10-$15 by going to them, 1/78 McCoy St Myaree, went there today and the boys did a great job, they got the car up, showed me the problem, both sides done in under 1 hr. Call Phil 93302760

how much u want 2 spend on brakes? is it pads and rotors? thru researching on here, i'm going to go for Lucas pads and RDA rotors... look for my thread in the Philcomm Rally section to find out prices etc. will give u damn good braking power, but be warned the Lucas pads can be dusty, but if u have stock steelies u'll b alrite!

B4 you change the CVs and rotars. if you really want to, roll the front wheels over a speed bump and pull on the handbrake and go nuts
Should at least get a lil bit of a burnout goin.
