G'day guys,

lucky me, i have the rest of the week off so i'm gonna have a crack at painting my brake calipers aswell as a few other things like servicing and installing an oil pressure gauge and painting afew bits around my engine. I am wondering what your opinions are on color choice. I am leaning toward red, but my car is white and my wheels are actually gun metal grey with polished lip, so they are a little out of the ordinary and i dont know how its gonna turn out color wise........

I'm also gonna get the red paint out on the battery cover, engine cover and a few bits and pieces around the engine.

i say spray them PINK!

Actually that doesnt sound as bad as you would first think.... make it a 'hot' pink, but make sure your car is Black!!.... like missy's :D...

Any other colour car, either yellow, red, green, I have seen a lot of red, maybe something different to break the trend ?

i have a white TH with black rims and polished lip and my calipers were red and god they looked awful.

white car + dark wheels + red calipers = ugly

i re sprayed my calipers pver the weekend and i got me Brake caliper paint in Aluminum silver colour and it actually suites it well (makes it look stock but nice and glossy). if you look at the wheel and will just notice it. not like the red ones when u look at the wheels u see this small red calipers.

thats another reason why not to paint calipers in bright colours if u have big wheels and small calipers. it makes your brakes look tiny

if you want after i give my car a good clean tonight will post a pick up for ya to see what u think.

another thing you could do is (i was plannin on doing this but cbf and i have alot of spokes so wont be able to see it well) clean the calipers and do a nice thick white glossy under coat then get a mitsubishi decal printed of that can fin on the caliper. stick it on and then spray over with black. let it dry and then peal of and there you have black calipers with mitsubishi printed in white. will look good. u can also try with other colours to but black and white would be spot on with your rims coz you can actually see your calipers clearly
