G'day guys, I have an old xbox i have been considering throwing in the car, pretty much just so i can say"hey! i have an xbox in the car!" oh, an of course the 80gig hard drive for music in the car:badgrin: the only thing is, my boot is full of audio gear already, and as we all know, the original xbox is pretty chunky so where the hell to mount it?? under the glovebox is out of the question due to my in car lighting setup and i really dont want to go choping massive holes in the dash! also under the front seats are taken by an amp and the other will be where the inverter will prob have to go....... what do you guys think?

hey mate, yeah as mr roberto says if you need any help let me know:)
if you realy wana put it in soon as posible it sits nicely under the front pasenger seat, but as you said you already got amps under their, the back seat is a great place for it,theres also an option of mounting it on top of the flip down arm rest, then that way you dont always have to have it in their all the time:D

Hamish just wondering, wouldn't the xbox get super hot being inside the armrest? Have you had any issues with it overheating?

im not in any hurry to do it, i just have an old xbox kicking around that i will never use since i got the x360..... the slimline ps2 would be good, but the harddrive on the xbox would be handy too.......... 80gig of porn hahahahahaha:bowrofl: i just have to work out if i really could be bothered......

This is another idea i had...... not sure of legal/insurance issues though because it would weaken the backseat a fair bit, but its to take out the back seat base and cut out the foam in the middle on the bottom and wack it in there so that the front of the xbox sits flush with the front of the seat base. it would be easy to reach from the front seats and would be a nice stealthy place to install it.
