Yeah was gonna polish'em up as the finish was a little rough to touch, got some polyglaze cut and polish that i use on the rest of the car. Anyone know of a better product for this job?

I just used some Meguirs quick detailer for mine. Its like $40 a bottle though but the smell is addictive, it smells like those mixed l0lly packs lol.

I wasn't sure about tinting my new car because of the black on black, and getting unwanted attention (Boys In Blue). But i had to it looks so sexy.:D

It's hard to tell when not polished. I'd be more inclined to go for the dark or CF Altezza-style tailights myself.
can u see the break, turning and reverse lights, if theyre still all nice and visable, then IMO ur all good :)
looks friggin awesome, just polish it up and it'll look even hotter

looks a bit to dark but then again when i did mine and took pics it looked dark as but its not that dark. you can still see the lights so all good.
to get a nice smooth finish use really really really really really fine sand paper wet it a bit and lightly rub it to get rid of the roughness. then with car wax give it a good polish and it should come out nice and glossy

Thanks for the tip Ash, Really fine wet and dry paper hey? Sounds like a plan, may get into it this weekend. And no, they not hugely dark during the day, actually thought it could be darker. Luckily saw them at tonight and was glad i didn't do it again!!

Those lights in the pic look way too dark, yes therfore Illegal, but you can make em tinted while still being legal... Ive had mine done for 5yrs, they have a faded a little (prob need redoin)... I work across the road from dept of transport, they checked em out, they were perfectly fine with em...

just thinking guys, if you got pulled up for your tinted lights, but you had some cheap ass non tinted ones in your boot, and u told the cop u would switch em right away, would u get away with it? would it depend on the bacon? i mean cop?

I think black (tinted) tail lights on a black car wil attract more attention than other car colours because the popo wil look at your car and be like "wtf, wer are the lights" then when they see how dark they are will stop you no doubt

Nah they will let you do it on the spot then give you another defect for another thing. and go HA HA.
This mod rocks as it does, and fails when it does. You can do it, you can pay for it. Case close. Not even going to talk about legal issues, is a waste of time. Basically if you have a concern about getting caught you dont do this mod at ALL.
Dumb people will mod by tinting then ask about legal issues. Those who mod it straight are the ones who know the concequences and there is absolutely no arguement either.
Do it at your own risk. Is nice on a black car no doubts. Just that is a costly mod.

I've had mine tinted like this for ages now. Probably a year now. I had cops behind me so many times during the day, and didnt get stopped. If it is too dark, just put some LED's lightbulb replacements in instead. Will be alot brighter then. But definately looks hot.
What i also did was tint the side repeaters (or indicators) near the doors. That makes it look alot better too. :)

thanks, yeah originally i was going to buy a chrome garnish, but this looks so much better, i also did it to my front grill, apparently there is a company that will make up a batch of paint to match your car and will then put it in a spray can for you. perfect for small jobs such as boot garnish or front grill.

Yeah, had the paint match done at Autobarn for my last vehical to colorcode the interior put into a spray can and all very handy, ( just the middle console and facia + plastic on arm rests) looks pretty cool. Not much use going that way with a black car though,
